Sustainable growers, wineries and food companies not only produce high quality products at competitive prices, they also generate local jobs and career advancement opportunities, improve regional economies and civic involvement, pioneer resource management practices and procedures to protect air, water and soil resources, provide open space and contribute to regional biological and cultural diversity.

In an increasingly global marketplace, the countries of origin for food and wine production will evolve under pressures resulting from government subsidies, lower labor costs and more favorable exchange rates. In the face of these pressures, our vision is that value-added products and services that support economic, cultural and biological sustainability, will thrive.

To implement our vision, we work with our customers on each component of the following Product Value equation:

Our job is to help customers meet and exceed quality specifications relevant to their markets. For winegrapes, this relates to brix levels, pH and other quality characteristics. In potatoes and other vegetables, it is connected to size, shape and solids reqirements. Our software tools and services help track, control and benchmark quality and costs.

We add strategic value by working with our customers to enhance their perceived quality offerings including field-to-table traceability, accountability, and sustainability. Through knowledge management, we empower producers to build a field-level brand in the field-to-table value chain. If producers don't establish brand at the field level, then perceived quality value is built and captured at higher points in the value chain—at the retail level for example.

SureHarvest software solutions and professional services allow growers, wineries, and food companies to proactively address their present and future customer quality and perceived quality demands through economically viable methods.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a marketplace measured by sustainability.

SureHarvest envisions a food and wine marketplace in 4-5 years where 10% of US consumers (the "last foot" in the value chain—where the consumer hand-selects the product) will choose products and brands that offer detailed information on where and how they are produced.

These consumers will not only value the factual content but also will deem important the accuracy, credibility and integrity of the information. Those producers with the longest history of collecting and presenting credible information will be seen as the most "authentic" and thus offering the most valuable products to processors and ultimately consumers. This 10% of the US food retail market ($50 billon/year) will double in 6-8 years.
