21st Century Invasive Pest Management Symposia
November 30, 2011 (9:30am - 4pm)
Hosted by CDFA Secretary, Karen Ross, this is the first in a series of symposia on invasive pest management. There will be an open discussion about how we can better collaborate on preventing, preparing for, responding to, and recovering from invasive plant pest and disease detections.
How to be more effective with fewer resources and identify infrastructure needs in the 21st century will be explored throughout this first in a series of symposia. Through these discussions, participants will have a chance to share their thoughts and gather information on the current CDFA invasive species pest programs.
The first symposia will be held at the Sacramento State University Alumni Center location in Sacramento, CA and an agenda will be provided to those who RSVP through the CDFA. Registration begins at 9:30 am and the symposia will start at 10:00 am and conclude at 4:00 pm.
